Your impact:

Food & Healthcare

When you sponsor a child through The Best Version Project you are ensuring this child he or she will not have to worry about a warm, daily meal. This improves and in some children even saves their lives. This also impacts their mentality as they can shift their thinking from "what am I going to eat today?" to "what can I learn today?"

You are also investing in this child's medical. You're making sure the child receives the proper medical treatment in possible life-threatening situations. There will be a qualified medical team assigned to your child's needs, and monthly, they will be able to treat malaria, typhoid, skin rashes, and even transport your child to the nearest clinic for further help if needed.

About Liberia:

Liberia is located on the west coast of Africa between Sierra Leone and Cote D'Ivoire. It's about the size of Tennessee with an estimated population of 4.6 million. In Liberia the climate is tropical, hot and humid all year round, with a rainy season from May to October due to the African monsoon, and pretty frequent rains in the other months, except in the short dry season that runs from December to February, which is more marked in the north. You can learn more about Liberia's climate here.

Liberia is one of the world's poorest countries. Founded by freed American slaves in 1822. From 1989-1997 the First Civil War broke out killing over 250,000 men, women, and children. Not long after peace seemed to be regained, the Ebola epidemic hit West Africa in 2013, killing over 11,000 people; 4,800 of those being from Liberia. Another tragic event leaving behind more heartache, and more orphans.
